Android (overall) Sync

so i was trying to configure sync settings since i am not notified when somebody "addresses" me on G+.. Facebook seems to work but G+ is more important for me. when i go in to Settings i see my accounts, when i go into Google i am not able to turn it on.. on my One S i see "Accounts & sync", that's is not on the MotoX > Settings..

anyone any idea what is going on?

In your Google+ app, tap the Menu button, then tap your account, then Notifications, then make sure the switch at the top of the screen is on. Then check Mentions, and make sure "Who can notify me" is specified how you'd like.

i was in my mail app and i did not turn auto sun on, after i did allow it to collect mail and went back to accounts i was able to turn it on for G+ ..kind of odd.
