Hey guys, having quite a few issues since I upgraded to android P. Most are not worth worrying about, phone sticks a bit some apps have a bit of a hard time working now and again but none of that is a real issue. The problem is some apps are now consuming data at a monumental rate now. I have 10GB of data a month, I'm usually a 2GB a month type of user as I use wi-fi where possible. 20 mins on you youtube ate a whole gigabyte of data, 45 mins of Spotify ate about 1.1. I've got data saving on, cut background data use. At this rate I won't make it to a week. I used to be able to use about 5 hours of Spotify for about 450 MB. This is seriously getting on my nerves. Any advice?

Re: help!!!

The only advice I can give is to go back to Android O. I depend on my Android devices to work as they should, so I don't run any beta software or a beta OS.

Re: help!!!

the Spotify settings were all set to high quality, I know I didn't do that. I wonder if that'll make a difference. still doesn't explain why 30 mins on YouTube could consume 1gb of data

Re: help!!!

I was fully prepared to revert, I didn't mind that I had to wipe my phone to do it. But it's a fairly complicated process I've since discovered.

That's not unheard of if YouTube is using a high quality. 30mins for a GB is easy depending on that.
