Android Pay had been hit or miss with me for a while. This weekend, I added a new debit card from an Ally account and things started to work much better. AP said my other bank's card was supported but I always had issues with it.
This weekend I was able to use my phone to pay in a number of places. The ONLY weird things is, I have to unlock my phone twice. Is this normal?
Sequence:
1. Unlock phone (I use a pattern)
2. Touch G4 to terminal (does anyone know where which end of the phone the NFC antennae is?)
3. Get message the card is declined or rejected followed by my enter pattern screen.
4. Enter pattern and touch G4 to terminal again
5. Success!
That extra unlock seems really clunky but maybe it is just extra security. Is this everyone else's experience?
