I was excited about android pay being released. Then I got the update. I am extremely disappointed now. I don't know how a huge bank like Chase isn't being supported!!

That's a deal chase has to agree on. Sometimes the bank isn't willing to make a deal.

I called my local Chase branch. They said they had never heard of Android pay and had no clue if it was going to be supported in the future.

I don't have Wallet and it looks like this download updates/replaces Wallet and is not a standalone version of Android Pay. Think I'd like the standalone version.

I don't think there is a stand alone version. Android pay is replacing the older Google wallet.

I added in my USAA debit and it said android pay wasn't approved for the card yet

Funny that the usaa card want taken. The articles I've read specifically stated that they were ready. Maybe only the credit card is ready, not the debit. Have to wait and see when my wallet gets upgraded
