Guys,

As far I'm aware the latest device we have over here is the HTC Desire. Does anyone have any idea when the likes of the EVO 4G will get down here, as that appears to be the latest and greatest from what I've read.

(Not that we've got a 4G network yet.. I wonder if they'll release a 3G version?)

Cheers,
Steve

The EVO is a Sprint exclusive device, so I wouldn't count on it showing up anywhere else at all. Unlike Motorola with the Droid/Milestone, HTC so far hasn't released "international" variants of their carrier specific phones, they only made carrier specific variants from existing phones (like the Sprint Hero, the GSM was first).

I'm pretty sure though that there'll be many more new phones from HTC that are like the EVO (as in: big screen, brutal hardware), and 4G ones too, once network development takes off in earnest. T-Mobile will start deploying LTE in 2011 here in Hungary for example, so I would say we'll be swarmed with 4G Android phones in year or two. And until then, I'm pretty sure HTC will pop out a new flagship phone with 2.2 for the people to be buy, probably before most current handsets of theirs get Froyo.
