Android pie

Hi everyone, I'm new to the site. I've been trying to download the beta huawei 9 and Android pie. It says my phone is not compatible. I've the p20 pro and it on huawei list. I'm in South Africa, are the betas area specific.

Absolutely!

If you put a, say, European or US Android on the phone, it may work. Or you may convert the phone to a paperweight.

Pie really isn't a huge update, it's just "time for the next version", so Google released it. Wait for the official SA version. Install it. You'll see, Aside from the look of the pulldown, there probably won't be much. Adaptive battery? That depends on your usage. Some days I get a little more, but not anything to get excited about. Oh - battery saver stays on if you plug the charger in (it turns off during charge) then unplug it. I don't know if Huawei does it (I have a Pixel 2) but that used to put orange bars at the top and bottom to indicate that battery saver was on - it no longer does. See? A major <sarcasm/> change.
