Android Pie?

Anyone have a clue when the next patch is supposed to drop? They posted it for the U11 Life, but no others so far.

I am hoping it does something for AT&T enhanced calling features... Somehow I ended up with WiFi calling and HD calling on my U11, and I seem to have VoLTE now on the U12, but missing the other two features.

Afraid to say it may never happen. We were promised the update late last year but we have not even gotten a word from HTC since. I believe several people have asked on social medias and forums but nothing...just crickets from HTC.

Been an HTC phone user for the last 8 years. Hate to see them struggling but cannot see them recover their smartphone business from Apple and Samsung's grip.

I talked to a customer rep last month. He said it was definitely coming for the U12+, but couldn't give me a timeframe. Who knows. I check everyday though.

There have been a number of bugs in the pie, and HTC is most likely taking the time to fix what Google is sending out. I remember when one of the version updates broke silent and do no disturb modes, and HTC not only fixed it, but came up with better controls than Google.

The U12+ update should be here soon (couple weeks maybe?), and I'd rather get it right then get it fast.

The most common list of Pie bugs on other phones is:
Bootloops.
Lockups and freezes.
Adaptive brightness issues.
Disappearing home and recent buttons.
Sound/volume problems.
Fingerprint sensor issues.
Various connectivity (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS) problems.
Bad battery life.


My own U12+ has been running great with 1.5 to 2.5 day battery life and excellent performance, so I'm not exactly hurting

Nice! What country are you located in? It still hasn't been released in the US. Has The look of Sense been updated at all?

Pie update today! I'm on TMobile in Chicagoland, USA. Works silky smooth so far. Look is a little cleaner, some symbols have changed. More as I use the wonderful U12+
As a long time HTC fan, I hope they can continue. The phone is a great performer with outstanding hardware.

Don't like the clock moving to the left of the notification bar. A lot of my notification sounds got messed up, had to change them all again. Overall not bad, but doesn't seem like much of an upgrade to Oreo.

I wasn't all that impressed with the Pie update as long as we had to wait for it. I was hoping for some bigger changes to Sense. HTC didn't even implement all the features of Pie.
