I had to return to the original posting to remember what this thread was actuallly about. Things get so convoluted with the race to max out the number of postings.


Anyhoo I don't know if the 6X is a good buy or not anymore. I wouldn't buy one after dealing with the one we have now. That's on me though.

I guess it depends what model you have. some 6x has no issues getting the updates.

Thank you. I'm surprised though...I received Nougat B360 update right after I removed mine from the box. Though the April 2017 patch was kinda disappointing.

at Best buy the card said 7.0, so I bought it. so I looked at it and it said 6.0 , so I got pissed off. and then the 7.0 came up for update. so I was happy. this phone is better than the ZTE I have. but no security updates. now waiting for 8.0 that the xda forum said is supposed to happen around the first of the year.

yes something to think about when buying the phone. do not punch up about phone before checking for the update for 7.0. blood pressure will go up.

That's how it was with my M3 tablet. Started it up with 6.0 then an update few mins later for the 7.0

Also the honor 7x is $200...imo, a better deal, just based on the phone
