"Android System" Draining Battery

Having a Chromecast on your home network creates battery drain on your phone?

It seems that it can for some people. See the link above for a more technical discussion.

FWIW the battery drain doesn't seem to be horrible, but definitely present. Enough that it is noticeable if someone is paying attention but small enough that someone might not notice the drain if they aren't a battery hawk.

VERY rough rule of thumb is probably like:
If you can easily get 4+ hours of screen time you probably don't have the issue. If you can only get 3 or less then you might have the drain. In between is a gray area. Those are just my opinions from the aggregate stories and experiences I've been having.

Ok. FWIW I work from home. I have 3 Chromecasts and 3 Google Home Minis on my network. I can easily get 4+ hours of screen time.

I really hope someone can help me.

I have just begun to notice my battery has been sucking.

While I'm not getting super bad readings from my Android System line, it is elevated.

I have wiped the cache partition a few times, and I have tried to see the cause of this drain, but nothing is standing out.

What do I do?

I only get about 4 hours of screen time - total.

What do I do?
my phone is connected to wifi almost 24 hrs a day and my battery has been stellar. I'm at almost 4 hrs of screen on time right now and I'm just under 65%. this is ridiculous compared to my previous LG.
