Android System High Usage Percentage

Ever since updating to Kit Kat I have noticed that my note 3 has been running android system usage up. Before the upgrade it was around 18% after the Kit Kat upgrade I have noticed it using up 25% to 30%. I thought it could have been a faulty app and did a reset to the phone but usage is still the same. Has any one else noticed it or has reccomendations to keep it down?

The key question is if you've noticed any change in battery life. I think the KitKat update might have changed how the battery usage of various system processes is categorized, so that percentage might include more stuff that wasn't originally included pre-KitKat.

Yes I have noticed a change in it before I was able to go about a little over a day on a full charge and now I get between 13 to 16 hours on a full charge that was the main reason I was wondering

Mine is running at 15 percent

THE BEAST,,NOTE 3. SIZE IS EVERYTHING!!!

I just picked up a note 3 yesterday and I have to say the battery life isn't that impressive. I also have a g2 and I think its battery life is better.

If you haven't already, try clearing the system cache partition. This can sometimes help performance after a system update. No personal data will be lost.

I would try this. It's a very good suggestion :).

This is mine so far this charge. How does everyone else's compare besides the OP?

I've heard from a number of people about errors when trying to wipe the cache partition, but unfortunately, I don't really know the cause of them. If the phone has been rooted, then that might be part of the problem, but I don't have an answer for those with unrooted phones. Sorry!

Mine is consistently running at 14-15% after KK. Prior it was 7-8%. I'm just trying to adjust to the difference. Battery life has decreased about 25% for me. It is what it is right now. I'm not going to get hysterical over this or the SD card issue.
