Android system is draining battery

Restart in recovery mode (from power off - Volume up+home+power until the phone starts) and clear the cache. (You won't lose any data.)

A new update will drain more battery, because some of the changes were made after the update was written, so it's downloading a lot of data.

I'm getting Really poor battery life for a £640 phone. I have cleared the cache many times still i never see the difference. Is there any other way I could get better battery?1478556407825.jpg1478556415347.jpg1478556420207.jpg

My battery life on the S7 Edge is still amazing.

I'm not sure what you guys are doing differently with your phones

I"m getting a ton of battery drain from the OS as well. I used to end my 10h shifts in the ER around 60% on all my previous phones (N7 included). was in the 50's with the 7E and now finish the day in the low 40's. OS drain was 34% today. Not sure what it should be.

Mine was like that. Sometimes 50% or more battery was android system. Always the top of the list and at least 40% usage. Turning off "keep wifi on during sleep" dropped it down to 15%-ish consistently for the past several months.

To everyone experiencing Android System Battery Drain I have some questions:
Are you using Package Disabler (PD) with Admin rights?
What have you disabled with Package Disabler?

I ask all this as I used PD for a day in my S7 Edge and Disabled all Gear VR services, and that had my Android System up and draining a bit of battery, it even caused some instability, at some point the phone didn't want to Wake Up and I had to force reboot the phone, I then reenabled the stuff I'd ticked in PD and uninstalled PD and my phone went back to normal.

I use PD and remove all bloat

I get the feeling PD is causing problems. Remember that the 'Bloat' is part of Samsung's entire system, it seems that when we 'force Disable' it with PD it causes a ripple effect, and messes with other processes.

I may be wrong though, but I am staying clear of PD for now.
