I have searched for this topic and came up empty. I am disappointed/surprised that the tablet does not work better with the phone. HP plans on tightly integrating their phones and tablets, as does RIM. Granted their products have not hit the shelves, but the idea is there. In retrospect, Apple has not really connected their products in a meaningful way. They have some games such as scrabble but that is about it.

What I would like to do is start something on my tablet and be able to finish it on my phone and vice versa. A lot of that is based on "cloud" utilization. I like that the RIM seems to be able to use the phone for email, calendar, and other, sans additional data plan. Does anyone have thoughts on this missing functionality, or is it not needed?

It's a lot easier for single-manufacturer platforms than it is for Android, plus Google rushed Honeycomb out the door, while HP/Palm is taking its time with a lot less changes (I would say RIM is too, except for the fact they'e launching with out an email client. But that's a rant for another day :) ). I think it's coming in a later release, when tablets are more popular.

Honeycomb is in it's infancy, plus Google wasn't ready for how fast android was going to be used on tablets. It's a point that should be addressed.

On your point about RIM, I actually don't like how the playbook needs to leach off a blackberry to use basic functions. Integration is one thing, but these are supposed to be independent devices.

It really depends on what you're talking about doing. If yours working on a document or spreadsheet you can easily save it as a Google Doc and transfer it back and forth. It does seem like HP/Palm is setting the gold standard for sharing. Hopefully we will see better integration with the Icecream version of Android.
