android tablet is offline - how do I fix it

android suddenly says I am offline. I have a home router. I cannot even find the wifi settings on the tablet.

Pull down the notification bar. There should be a wifi icon there. If it's not enabled, tap it and you should either connect to the router or be asked for the password for the router. (This is assuming that the router is connected to the internet. If it isn't, you'll have to do that first.)
