Android to gmail contacts

Hey all I have a gmail account with one set of contacts in it and my phone with the updated contacts in it. I want to delete all the contacts in gmail and put the ones from my phone into it. How can I do a one way sync from the phone to gmail.

Also if I leave sync contacts with gmail checked I constantly get the too many contacts to delete error.

I believe you go to Contacts, the press MENU>>EXPORT and export the .vcf file tour your SD CARD. Then on your PC you can plug the phone, log into Google Mail and go to Contacts and import the .vcf file. I didn't have previous contacts on Google Mail, but that's how I got all my Contacts transferred from the phone.
