Android transfer data

Hi. I would like a bit of help about transfering the game progress from a samsung phone to another, without rooting. Any guide to do this nice and easy?

Install Google Play Games and backup ur progress. You can restore that backup from any other device.

Doesn't that require the game to be setup to use Google's services?
