Android update? (LG Optimus S)

Hey everyone. I have the LG Optimus S and I really like it. Although, it has some questionable battery life issues, that's not my question here. The question is, I keep getting these update notifications. I am using the Lego Rom at the moment, but these notifications also showed up when I was running ThundeROM. I am wondering if it is safe to do this update or do I just have to keep ignoring them? Thanks in advanace.

If you want to retain root, use the LG Updater tool. Do not accept the update over the air. See the Rooting ROMs and Hacks section for detailed instructions.

If you're rooted, NEVER accept an OTA update.
