Android Central Question

I have just installed a update for my Samsung Galaxy S7, and it made all my game apps disappeared from my home screens. They are not in my app drawer either. I have made sure they are not disinstalled ; they appeared in my Game Launcher and App list, but I can't find a way to make them a new shortcut. Help?

Same poster, had to create an account to reply.

It was the automatic update from the update program on my phone. From the paragraph under the super long update number, I'd say it was the update for Samsung Galaxy S7 to go Oreo ('' Samsung Experience 9.0 bring you Oreo'' )

Also, failed to mention it, but I did try to reset my phone, uninstall / install the disappeared apps. Neither worked.

There's a setting in Game Launcher to "hide game apps from app drawer". You might have triggered that, or the update has that enabled by default.

Have you logged into your Samsung account? Were you previously configured to backup your apps and data? If not, it is now gone.

Bump for having the same issue. Went into the game launcher and unchecked "Hide games on Home and Apps", updated the Games Launcher and did the same thing, restarted after checking the setting, looked under the "Hide Apps" section on the home screen options and they weren't there, found no setting under the Apps option...Did this Games Launcher just somehow permanently hide away all my games so that I *have* to use it?

I had the same problem. I uninstalled my games then reinstalled them. They showed back up with my other apps. Hope this helps and I hope yours show up also.

Having this exact problem... they're installed but not showing up in any form except in settings and the Google Play Store. Unchecking the Game Launcher's "hide games on home and apps" doesn't help either.
I tried downloading new games; they showed up normally, so it seems this is the only way right now to get them so show up again... but a lot of my games cannot retain their data if i re-download them so I'm back at the bottom :'(
I think it's a bug... hope they fix it soon

EDIT: I found a solution.
1. Settings
2. Apps
3. Click 3 dots at top right corner
4. Click "show system apps"
5. Scroll and find "Samsung experience home"
6. Click storage
7. Clear data
This will reset your phone's launcher, meaning all the data you customised regarding your homescreen is set to default, but nothing else is affected.
You should find that now all your games are accessible again.

It's the game launcher app. Look for it under applications and disable the hide games in system option. I don't know why they did it but they suck

Much late, but if anyone finds this and has the same issue:
1) Disable Game Launcher per instructions found anywhere
2) Open settings -> Apps -> find Game Launcher
3) Clear data for that

Games should show up in your app drawer and you will be able to add shortcuts to them again.

You guys I had the same problem as you go to your Gamers launcher is going to be an option to hide your games turn it off it worked for me
