Android wifi access-point

Hello everyone,

This is my idea..
I have an Android tablet.
I would like to use wifi to connect to the internet and use my cell phone as a Wifi Access point.

Android does not allow ad-hoc wifi connections and I prefer not to root the tablet.

Is there a way to (with root access) to change an Android phone into a wifi infra access-point ?

I need to buy an Android phone to do that so next question.. What hone would be the best choice?

Check out PDANet Tablet. Just tried it for the first time using my Galaxy Tab and also my Captivate phone.
