My wife recently signed up with Lyft as a driver. It's been fairly lucrative & had been working out fine for a few weeks until she ended up in some busy parts of Orlando, FL when she discovered the app wasn't working there. She has a Galaxy Note 4 running Android 6 on the Total wireless network. Trouble shooting on the Lyft app tells her the app works best with Android 7 or later. We then go to Best Buy where we are told that Total wireless won't cut it either & we need to go with a major carrier. What is the truth of all this? I was thinking of adding a line to Total with a less expensive phone running Android 7 or getting a cheap deal on a phone at another carrier like Boost wireless or something. Does anyone have any ideas about this? We're trying to avoid more expensive options. Thank you.
