Android_Secret_Code String Revealed!

I may have figured it out. After selecting the Disable Full Battery pop-up I went back and disabeld the Hidden Menus feature altogher. No popup overnight after reaching full charge.

I was playing around with this and, beyond changing the GPS settings and the navigation volume, I didn't change anything, just browsing.
.

Where is the menu for changing the navigation volume? I looked through the thread and couldn't find a direct path. Thanks!

Very cool thread. I got into the menus and changes the Battery Pop Up, as well as the whole Lock Screen feature. I like this very much. Big thanks to the Egg Head. Keep up the good work.

and the video from Cory, very good (for those who could not get it going). Thanks very much.

I tried this but with the screen being kept alive by an app like Caffeine or Bedside, the popup still occurs about an hour after the battery reaches 100% charge.

It looks like I am still getting the pop-up also and I agree, it seems to be some time after reaching full charge.

I have been using my phone as an alarm clock using the Alarm Clock Plus app. I leave it on in screensaver mode so I can quickly glance the time if I wake up in the middle of the night. My wife is very light sleeper and everytime the Full Batt pop-up comes on it wakes her up (it is very bright in a darkend room) so she is not a fan.

If I don't get this figured out soon its back to a traditional alarm clock for me.

Did the shutdown code and it works but.... does anyone else have the volume rocker waking the screen as well?

I have the Samsung Galaxy S Showcase through Cellular South which is the same as the Fascinate. I've gotten the hidden menu enabled and every one of the secret codes works except for the audio tuning. Is there something else I can try? I'm 100% positive that I'm putting in the code correctly.

Not sure if this is still a live thread, but I did this a while back, made some changes, and it worked perfectly. I've since decided to make more, but today, after changing some volume settings it won't let me "save" them. I hit save, it turns color briefly, but doesn't "take." I did the OTA update yesterday. Thoughts?

I had this issue with DJ05 so I assume this will be the case with DL09. The changes made in the secret menu, dont stick. I get the battery full message even though I have this disabled...

The disable battery pop up didn't work for me either as I also use Alarm Clock Plus as my bedside clock - get a hideously bright pop up on my screen every night. Super annoying feature that they shouldn't even have put on the phone in the first place, I don't see the point of it, really and wish there was some way - any way to remove it! I had also deactivated the lock screen using these codes while on Dl01 and after the DL09 update, still no lock screen, so that made me one happy girl - I hated that dang lock screen more than I hate the full battery pop up.

I just started playing with this today. I made some changes mentioned in post 2 here:

Facinate G nav volume too low - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum

I tried editing all of the "stream_xxxxxx_settings" to mirror those in post #2 of the link above. It seems none of them took except the "Stream_earpiece_settings" and now that I try to change it back, it won't save.

anyone have any suggestions? I don't really use an earpiece. I was trying to set it for bluetooth. I use pandora to stream to my car stereo viai bluetooth and the navi can't be heard over the music. I was trying to up the navi volume and now it's stuck in the wrong setting!!

EDIT:

OK, by default the system_earpiece_setting IS ALREADY set to those values. My problem, like others here, is that I can't change the values and have them stick! grrr... I was excited about streaming bluetooth audio and hearing navi at the same time.

It looks like there's some files in /etc/audio that match up with some of the settings we see in the hidden menus. Maybe they can be tweaked.
