Speaktoit assistance in the market.

I downloaded several different siri like apps over the weekend.

I really like speaktoit assistance.
I love having an avatar that winks, and blinks. Much more personable.
You can also change the clothes, hair, eyes, nose etc of the avatar.
It seems to be learning more and more as I use it.
It has a little more work. But unlike the other voice command app. This one doesn't keep saying I am in new York!

If you are all looking for an alternative to Siri. This is it. Read that this was being developed around Same time as Siri. Interesting.

What do you all think?

I liked the idea behind Iris, especially since it's Siri backwards, but it needs more development. On the flipside, it was developed in 8 hours so I can't really complain. lol

I like iris too, and its pretty good for only being developed in just 8 hours. Looking forward to the updates.

Not bad but I think Vlingo beats it. I have already found two apps Speaktoit will not open - Google+ and "mail" (as vs gmail).

The Jeannie app is working alot better now.

On nice feature on Jeannie is you don't have to keep pushing the mic button to talk. It stays active.

Both speaktoit, and Jeannie seem to be the closest to Siri.

I've tried iris, Jeannie and Speaktoit. All are pretty good and should get better with time and updates. I have been checking out Eva Intern for the past couple of days. It hasn't gotten much attention, but I like it's functionality so far.

Most if none of these don't have Bluetooth so I see them deemed useless to me.

I like vlingo because it works for nearly everything (i bought a pro license in my blackberry days and still use it for the safereader option) but I also really like speaktoit. If it had a little more personality and a little more functionality it'd be perfect - as it is it can't access some settings or open everything.

I also really like iris because of its personality, but it seems to want to search things even if you don't mean it to. For example, it asked me some question to which I responded 'not really' - and it told me not really is a song by some band. Thanks, but huh? It is an excellent alpha release, though. I was pretty amazed. (incidentally, iris told me it was debating killing me in my sleep. Good times)

Try iris as it is a true clone to siri. It was created 8 hours after iPhone 4s release. It's in alpha stage so its only goin to get better

Tried Iris - nice format but did not carry out a single command.....has potential I think though.....meanwhile I will stick with Vlingo.

I downloaded iris and speaktoit, but couldnt get either to work. when i loaded up iris, it said no speech input. Is this a problem with CM7 that my speaker doesnt work?
