I've had a problem for the last two/three months I have not adressed.

My angrybirds d/l keeps trying to update, but always fails upon installation.

It used to update fine. But in the last two/three months it's been unable to do so.

I read somewhere it's a file conflict or you need to delete a file somewhere, but I lost the file because it didn't affect me at that point. If someone can point me in the right direction it would be amazing :)

"Search is your friend" because this has been covered heavily, try removing SD Card and update without the card in... If it updates I am guessing you have the game installed on card that causes issues...

I'm not computer illiterate, or anything. But do I have to "eject" the card first? I've heard of this, and do not know how to do so.

The card in a Droid X is mounted in such a way that you have to remove the battery to remove the card. Removing the battery kills power to the Droid, thus turning it completely off. Among other things, this "ejects" the card for safe removal.

Droid X supports hotswapping, But you cant hotswap the card because its behind the battery lol.

You can also try connecting it to your PC as a Mass Media Storage mode, that unmounts your SD card from the phone as well.

Depending on the PC's settings, you may need to "eject" it from there before removing the card. But then again, since the battery has to be removed to take the card out anyway, it's moot - the Droid X has to be fully off to even get at the card.

You can also just go to sd card in settings and click unmount sd card- then install angry birds update then go back and click re-mount sd card. Should do the trick, don't even have to remove it.
