I have just released Animal Shogi, a two player board game based which is a variant of shogi (Japanese chess). With a small board of 3x4 squares, it is easy to learn and can be played in 5-10 minutes. It serves as a great way of learning the concepts and thinking of chess and shogi with simplified rules, fewer pieces and a smaller board - for both children and adults alike!
It is 100% free (no adverts) and it donation-supported. Download it and keep it on your phone for when you have a friend to play with (it is 2-player only - who wants to play a computer?).
