If it doesn't work in stock ZVH, it probably won't work in HydroROM. This isn't an issue we can easily fix.

I have a file for the stock keypad that I flashed. So when I touch any of the buttons the screen wakes up. Reborn has it so that only the power button wakes it up. Then I also have an app called no lock from the market that does away with the lock all together..

I will hold out till the new ROM has a hotspot. I use it everyday as my only connection.

We will be including Wireless Tether for Root Users, which won't provide AP mode (for connecting PS3, Xbox, etc) but if you use if to tether to a laptop or other computer it will work just fine.

I want to tell you the big secret, but.........

I may be mistaken but other tethering apps like open garden do work on zvh

I've been using the newer beta Wifi Tether, which will work in netd (infrastructure/ap) mode, though it reboots the phone when you disable it. (Still not as fast/stable as the native tethering was in zvd, though)

Screen brightness in the drop down is the only thing I wish it had, so I'll be waiting for HydroROM. Otherwise I use Go Launcher because I prefer the dock and ability to hide apps in the app drawer.

I'm not sure if this can be done but here goes. Would it be possible to make the four buttons blink when you have a missed SMS message. I know alot of phone have LEDs that can be used for notification. Since we don't have the LEDs is it possible to make the buttons blink? Just an idea. Love the latest Your Mom. Thanks for all your hard work!

ZVH kinda sucks then, doesn't it? Any baseband "upgrade" that causes a slurry of stuff not to work just to update the icons and lockscreen is a frustrating mess. Any chance you'll backport some of the new goodies to ZVD then?? I know, I know... just dreaming...

I'm excited to see what you've been working on at the big reveal. Your Mom was pretty tight, this will surely be amazing. I just wish I could make it my daily driver.

According to LG's forum, the fix is forethcoming:

"LG is working on the Update for the Optimus-S, and it should be out any time now. Until, then you should be able to get the Drivers from the "Drivers & Resources" page on this site. Official LG Phone Forum

Once you install the Driver, the Update toold should recognize your phone and allow you to switch to the 2.2 update. When you install the drivers, don't have the phone attached to the USB Port on your PC.

Im not sure if this is possible, but one thing i love about android is the desktop. I woild like to use the entire screen as a desktop. So, there are two ways i'm thinking this could happen.

1. Create a drawer for the lancher bar at the bottom of the screen.
2. Create a separate section in the app drawer with the tools that would regularly go there

Then a swipe up on the desktop could either bring up the lancher bar or the app drawer. I hope this makes sense.

This would definitely set this ROM apart from the rest. No one else has anything like this.

That's sorta how WebOS is, well except that there is a row of icons/apps on the bottom and a Just Type bar across the top. Other then that the desktop remains empty with seperate sections in launcher for apps, downloads, settings, etc...

ADW Launcher does this. Under settings>adwsettings>general behaviour>swipe down actions>open/close dockbar.

But it is cool if you like that !!

Don't pay any attention to the Launcher, that is NOT how it will look. We haven't even gotten to theming it yet. Rather, pay attention to the notification dropdown, the Settings app and the default background. We are really excited!

In other news, HydroROM should be entering beta testing in a few days. Those of you who donated, please check your email inbox for instructions.

Technically this is totally possible, but there are two catches to it. One, it requires a modified kernel. Two, it requires a third-party app (Tasker) be set up to run a script to flash the LEDs every time a notification happens. This is extremely taxing on battery life, and goes against what we are doing.
