New screenshots up

Don't pay any attention to the Launcher, that is NOT how it will look. We haven't even gotten to theming it yet. Rather, pay attention to the notification dropdown, the Settings app and the default background. We are really excited!

In other news, HydroROM should be entering beta testing in a few days. Those of you who donated, please check your email inbox for instructions.

Technically this is totally possible, but there are two catches to it. One, it requires a modified kernel. Two, it requires a third-party app (Tasker) be set up to run a script to flash the LEDs every time a notification happens. This is extremely taxing on battery life, and goes against what we are doing.

Still handing out beta version to donators? Just curious I'm dying to try this out and yes, I donated:-$

I like that feature as well, but since that feature is baked into CM7 at a system level (and we don't have source code for ZVH), that's going to be extremely difficult to do.

I just checked LG's Open Source website and looks like the ZVH source is back up. (124MB). I know this wasn't available for a while so when I saw your post thought I would check again. Cheers.

Just realized something. When I download something (via my personal favorite, dolphin mobile) my download is not visible in the downloads app. If i download something from my messaging app (handcent) it doesn't show up. Even Gmail downloads don't appear! Can you guys fix this in HydroROM?
Thanks

Pretty sure Dolphin uses it's own download manager, but I haven't used it in a while so that may no longer be the case. Regardless, all of my browser download do show up.

If the launcher choice is open to discussion, I'd love to see you include Zeam Launcher (with appropriate permission, of course). I really liked Go Launcher, but it was so huge and a little laggy on the Optimus S with a lot of gee whiz eye candy that wasn't very practical. The LG launcher is small and quick, but lacks in so many ways; the drawers are the only real upside IMHO. Zeam is super quick and adds a bunch of features, including transparent dock with any number of apps, density changing and notification bar hiding, and the download is less than 800KB. You don't need to theme a transparent dock. Just sayin...

If people want to use third-party launchers that is perfectly fine. We've just put a bunch of theme work into the LG Launcher lately so to switch launchers isn't really something we're looking into at the moment.

Honestly I've never actually used Zeam Launcher, so I can't agree or disagree on that point :p

Zeam is cool. But I kinda like the layout and look of the stock launcher:what: just maybe some special sauce on top?

There is no beta build at this time. We are still in alpha testing. If you donated, you should have received an email with further instructions. If you did not receive the email, please PM me with the transaction ID of your donation.

Again, there is no beta build yet. Once alpha testing is complete, the first beta build will be released to our GP Team, and upon approval will be released to everyone who donated.

Thanks AGAIN for all your hard work TeamHydro. I'm itching for this Rom. Need some cream and benadryl.
