dude your mom is so fine that i dont even care that you wont give us an eta or moar details. i run your mom with most of the go products and the paid version of light grid. i get awesome performance and sometimes over 30 hours of battery life with moderate use.

If i wasnt poor i would donate. for now ill keep bug reporting.

Yourmom is bug free man!:p

Very cool.

Anyone have a best guess on the time between Beta release and Final version?
I ask as I don't nornally Beta, but will get the Final version when ready.
Looking forward to it. :D

Thanks.

Mav.
We actually have an ETA on the beta here, but now you want an ETA on Final and a ΔT of the two? That's just like counting to five... right out!

You're right. My bad. :-[
Just got all excited there for a moment and lost my head.
It's ready when it's ready.

Mav.

P.S. What is the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow? An African swallow, of course.

As a Team Hydro GP member, and someone who has tested all the builds up to the PreBeta which im running now, trust me, the wait will be worth it. The evil rabbit of caerbanog (drew) demands that it be perfect before release. So just hold your horsies......

Not even the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch can stop this beast :p

But we are NOT going to publicly release a bugged ROM. There may be one or two small changes for the Beta, but nothing that will affect stability.

I'm just hopin to get rid of even half these bugs I have now! The Bluetooth errors, random freezing (not exclusive, but happening WAYYY too often), dropping data (3G and WiFi), picture messaging....the list goes on.

Note: Not a GP or anything guys, but ZVH is KILLING ME!!!!!!!!

You might be having some device issues that are not necessarily related to ZVH. I haven't experienced any of the issues you are experiencing. Exactly what Bluetooth errors are you experiencing?

You are on your own on this one if you're running yourmom. I never had the bluetooth issues even on stock zvh software. These guys knocked it out of the park if you ask me. My phone has NEVER ran this smooth. and I've tried it all including cm7. Maybe a hardware issue or something?

I'm with ya on the ZVH hatin'. :P Updating lost me GPS completely, and my data (Wifi, possibly 3g) drops all the time. Don't use Bluetooth often, so don't know if it's actually working.

My understanding is that the ZVH randomly affected certain Optimus S phones, but not others. Sprint has acknowledged most of the issues, which is why they are officially supporting a 'revert to ZVD' option. So logically, any ROM based on ZVH won't fix the problems unless the offending part of the ROM is specifically found and fixed, and from what I've seen, none of the devs seem to have had these issues with any ZVH based ROM. If they don't see the problem at all, it's hard for them to fix it. Again, that's just my understanding.

EDIT: For what it's worth, LG is estimating an update to fix everything will be released "before the end of the year". We'll see. http://www.lgforum.com/forum/boards/carriers/sprint/topics/how-does-one-contact-lg-support

That ETA was posted by a forum Moderator and not an LG employee, so take that with a grain of salt.

So I have been a faithful gROM user for some time now, but I am really looking forward to seeing how this ROM turns out. I have read through this entire thread (been checking in every day), though I admit I haven't read through the YOUR-MOM-ROM thread, so I apologize if this has been asked and answered elsewhere:

While there are obviously a lot of changes, does the fact this ROM is still based on ZVH mean one could upgrade from gROM to this without wiping data? As long as one wipes cache before flashing HydroROM, could they simply upgrade from gROM without having to clear data and restore a backup using something like Titanium Backup? Are you going to do any testing of this scenario?

Obviously, I'll be making a complete backup before I would attempt such a thing, but I'm wondering if it is even worth attempting when HydroROM comes out.
