Annoying android 10..

I just got the update on my AT&T variant and now I have this annoying, ugly bar on the bottom of my keyboard. It is useless to me as I can make the keyboard drop by hitting my back gesture (Samsung Gestures). Does anyone know why this is here? Does it have something to do with the Google gestures? I have no interest in using those iPhone wannabe gestures.

Also, now Good Lock doesn't work. Hopefully that gets sorted soon. I haven't had a chance to see of I like Android 10 yet but we are not off to a good start. I'm usually happy to have upgraded software but so far, I'm not a fan.

It's there with the Samsung keyboard as well. It's just blended better. I just don't like that it makes my keys higher up on the screen. It's screwing my typing all up.

I also don't like these stupid suggested apps in the task switcher.

Don't have the bar on mine. But I do have a distinct bar with a little arrow there when I use a keyboard app other than stock.

A screenshot would help, but if it's what i think, get rid of it by going to settings, display, navigation bar and toggle off "show button to hide keyboard".

Yes! Thank you so much, good sir! I did post a screen shot above but this is exactly what I was looking for. I couldn't find it. Thank you so much. My irritation level has dropped significantly.

Yes this is it, my bad. The bar is much better hidden on stock though

I use that bar. It's not stupid. What's stupid is gestures.

You can turn off suggested apps as well. Go to task switcher>3 dots in search bar>settings>toggle off suggested apps.

Good deal. Thank you. My task switcher seems super laggy on Q. Only happens sometimes but when it does, I have to click on the app I want like 3 times to get it to switch.

I'm on the beta on my Note 10+. It seems pretty smooth for the most part on my end. I don't actually have the S series.

I also like having that bar there - it's great to be able to quickly put the keyboard away. Plus, I prefer to have the keyboard displaying up a bit from the bottom of the screen.

Gotta say though, I love the gestures!
