Has anyone else been unable to send MMS when on wi-fi?

Basically the problem i have run into is that when i have wi-fi on and i try to send an MMS message it will just try and try and try and 10 minutes later i get a message saying it was unsuccessful.
It apparently it will only send them through the t-mobile data connection. That's a little weird to me considering everything else i do on my phone can now go through wi-fi such as wi-fi calling. But what's even weirder is that even when I have wireless network set to take over if wi-fi is unavailable and both it and wi-fi are on, it's still not sending it through the network. The only way I can send MMS is to literally turn off the wi-fi connection and wait for the data network to connect for the MMS to be able to be sent.

This is extremely annoying and for a high end smartphone it really doesn't make sense.

Has anyone else noticed this problem? Where I live i can only get 2-3 bars EDGE just because of my house, so I use wi-fi alot. If anyone knows what im doing wrong please help me..

Oh and btw I have tried connecting the data network to both TelKila and T-Mobile Data and both have the same outcome...

Are you using the stock messaging app to send the message because I have noticed a problem sending picture messages over Handcent SMS. What I did to get rid of TelKilla is this too: goto Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names, click your menu button and tap Reset To Default otherwise TelKilla will still come up and then make sure you physically tap the T-Mobile data radio button on the right and not the text so it stays selected and just back out of there and it will stay.

nope i'm using the default built in messaging app.. see the thing is that I can't tell whether it's telkila or not that's causing this problem. I got it to stay on t-mobile but it still wouldn't let me send MMS if wi-fi was on.

I hope someone else has had this issue so they can chime in on what they tried because It's bothering me lol

..and it's pretty amature considering this is such a high end device

This is related to your thread subject so I thought I would post it here... is there a way to send pictures taken from the camera as regular MMS without making a "slide show?" When it does this, the MMS' aren't sending from my phone. It says it "unable to send after multiple attempts," and a 'generic network failure' - even though I have perfect signal and am able to send and receive regular texts (SMS). Anyone else having an issue like this when trying to "share" their photos? Is it working for you?

The WIFI issue is with a lot of phones. I know there was an update with the myTouch 3g about this not that long ago. Not sure if it's the same problem or what. But I'm sure they'll be an update to fix this. HTC is really good, probably the best when it comes to bug updates. As far as the MMS sending as a slideshow, unfortunately the advantage of having a great camera, means larger file sizes. The stock message app only allows up to a 1mb picture to be sent. The default message size is 600kb, but if you go to settings you can change that to 1mb. Problem is, that's usually still too small. Your best bet is to get the app "Handcent". It's a text messaging app that's much better than the stock message app to begin with. There's also an option to let you send MMS up to 1.2MB. Now, there's also an option to send 2MB and 5MB, but it also says (Evo only). Not sure if it'll work or not. You can try though. Other than that unfortunately I don't know of any other options.
