I don't have sound here, but you need to slide your finger from the side of the screen again, and let go when you're highlighting the globe symbol. That'll drop down your url bar. You can turn that back off under "accessibility." You would have had to turn that on. Turn it back off.

Try closing the browser from the manage apps file. That's happened to me before.

good vid have you tried using chrome.. i am also about to try and see if can replicate what is happening to you. well if you do this with the chrome browser it will let you type it in but with the stock browser i get the same problem you have. chrome all the way bro..

This is a wild guess since i cant confirm yet as im awaiting the delivery of my HOX. When you get the menu after sliding in from the edge go to settings then Labs and turn off "quick controls". That's how it works on my stock ics Xoom, maybe the same for the HOX.
