Anonymous call blocking on nexus 4

I got my nexus 4 today and I want to block anonymous calls. I used to have a contact named Anonymous blocked with the phone number -1 and it used to work fine on samsung note but it is not working on nexus 4. Anyone had success without using any app!

Anonymous calls comes with -1 as a number.

I've been searching my call settings and cannot find anything!
Best to try calling your provider and getting them to block it. Might do this myself as my girlfriend always calls on private and it pisses me off.

For years, the carriers have resisted adding functionality to block anonymous calls. You can guess why.

Given the consumer desire to ignore anonymous calls (and called with spoofed caller ID like 000-000-0000) it should be a natural built in function for a phone that isn't carrier-locked like the Nexus 4.

Or if T-Mobile really wants to distinguish themselves as the uncarrier...

Extreme Call Blocker is awesome. That's what I use and would recommend.

I use to use call filter when i got spam calls 6 months ago. i dont use it anymore. call filter works fine. there are so many options in the playstore.

I've been using Blacklist. Works very good. Has a nice option to only allow contacts.

In my post above, I recommended blacklist. They updated the app recently and I just can't seem to get it to hang up on anonymous callers and NOT send it to voicemail. It used to work before the update.

I deleted the app and bought Extreme Call Blocker mentioned above. It does EXACTLY what I want now.

I use call control and love it. You can also use it to block spam texts.

If you use AVG Mobile App you can block calls and message with a variety of options.
