Another battery issue?

Hey guys, I recently started a thread about the battery drain during standby on my device! Well today when my battery was running low, i was nowhere near my charger so i had to allow it to drain lower then i usually would, I usually charge my phone once it drops below 20% (except for the first 2 or 3 charge cycles) But anyways, Long story short,Today my battery died the second it reached 5%?? Any reason why that would happen?

It probably shuts it off early so it does not lose any data when the battery goes Completely out.

It is possible the battery % meter just isnt calibrated yet. These things take time to be accurate unfortunately.

I have it about a month so it should be calibrated by now? After 20 minutes on charge it has gone from 0-21% which is surprisingly faster then usual

Hmmm, yea that is odd. Not really sure what the problem is then, I am not a dev so me expertise is limited.

Are you using a 3rd party app for the battery %?

Iam but the battery % displayed by the default power feature in settings displays the same %, Its on 28% now and its on charge not even 30minutes, I never let the battery actually die before but its as if it has been reborn to charge fast lol

Ah yea, its actually important to let the phone completely die once or twice. Then it calibrates and truly knows what 100% of your battery is.

I know this isnt the right terminology folks, so I apologize in advance

The phone has been charging now for 1hr37 minutes and is on 73% ...... this is great ha

Latest update, the last 30-40% clearly took longer then the first because the battery seemed to be charging quickly but by the time it reached 100% ...3 hours had passed!!

It has been unplugged just over an hour now and has dropped 5% in standby (i checked the lock screen 3 or 4 times to check time was all)

Iam not exactly saying the battery is bad but its behaviour is very strange and inconsistent and i would love to know why! I recall taking it off charge a day or two ago and it dropped by 1% after one hour standby and then a further 1% 30 minutes later and now its 5% after the same amount of time, I think this battery has a life of its own

Batteries always charge faster when low and slow as they become charged.
