The LG G3 is the phone critics refuse to leave alone. No S5 or M8 comparisons to newly released phones, just the continuation of LG G3 vs Phone X. However, LG, a phone in active use since July 17th in the US is still taking out the competition... This time, the DROID Turbo. The G3 was designed to beat the test of time, and it's been very successful.

Honestly, I am not surprised. I am constantly going into cell phone stores when I am at the mall to check out any newly released phones, and I still think the g3 is as good or better. I couldn't be happier with this phone.

It says that the Lgg3 has wireless charging. Does it with ATT? And if so, what type of charger does it use? Thanks

It uses the powermat charger from Duracell. You also have to buy a PMA quick circle case with wireless charging capabilities.

You can buy a back cover that supports wireless charging, Amazon has some stuff. I haven't used wireless charging yet..

Good luck

I do that as well, and they have begun to look at me oddly....in fact, they've been doing so for months. But I agree about the G3....I'm using my Nexus 5 loaded with a month's unlimited data at the moment as my daily driver, but every time I fire up my G3 to check a notification or whatnot I'm knocked out by that display....and that's having just come from the N5's superb display at that.

They're right. Except for AT&T all the G3's use a kind of wireless charging called Qi (pronounced chi).

AT&T decided to use a different kind of wireless charging called powermat. So if you're going to use wireless charging you have to be really careful with what kind of case you buy.

Anyone recommend one kind over another?

I'd take a G3 over a Turbo any day.

As would I. I just wish the G3 had more battery mAh. That's my only gripe. I don't want to stick a spare battery in my pocket and the 9,000 mAh aftermarket batteries are enormous.

Agreed. For me this phone would be absolutely perfect if it just had an extra 500 mah.

Perhaps the L update, when it comes, will give improved battery, as it's said to do. I haven't found that to be the case on my Nexus 5 a few days into L, but early days yet, bugs to be fixed etc.
