Hi! I'm a former Apple lover and still love my Macs, but have become disgusted with Apple's approach to mobile: prohibiting competitors from selling their software, charging developers a fee (and a stiff one if you're trying to do free or open-source), making it very difficult to find your files, crippling laptops to sell tablets (where are the laptops with 3G/4G??), and of course lawsuits, lawsuits, lawsuits. I first went Apple to get away from Microsoft, but Microsoft was never this bad.
So, when I could afford my own smartphone I bought a Galaxy Nexus and I am pretty happy with it. I like many of its functions better than the iPhone's, especially text input in Evernote - the three options for alternate words are much better than Apple's one. I see plenty of other advantages as well. But one big disadvantage: it's really badly documented. I haven't found good reference books for Ice Cream Sandwich, and (as with any system that's not menu-driven) a lot of options are hard to find. Hoping to have a place I can ask a bunch of questions and figure stuff out.
