Another Note7 has blown-up in Australia - Please stop using your phone ATM

Re: Where will your Note 7 be when it fails?

The speculation about IF a Note 7 has a better chance of not burning up is crazy. Users are saying, "I'm keeping it off the charger at night," "I'm only charging 1 time per day" to all sorts of other things that might minimize the risk.

So instead of playing the numbers game which no one has a definitive answer to, ask yourself this.

Where will your Note 7 be when it fails?

In your pocket?
In your purse?
On your bed?
In your lap while driving?
In your loved ones hands?
On an airplane?
In your backpack during your commute?
In your Gear VR?

Sure, life is full of risks, but why take an unnecessary one?
You are also playing a numbers game saying 'when it fails' by insinuating that all the devices will fail, which they won't.

Im using my Note 7 to read this thread
I'm waiting for the recall on faulty glass.

The point of my post is to further convince those on the fence about it "probably won't" to "it might." I didn't mean to insinuate that all would, because I'm not the expert. The fact is that no matter what the probability it, no one is less likely or more likely than the next.

Considering the outcome, I'd rather have a Note 7 that has even less of a risk than it does now.

How i'm dealing with the Note 7 recall

With all this talk of the possibility of the Note 7 exploding if left on the charger, I created a little reminder for myself to pull it off once it has fully charged.

Going to keep using mine until I get an exchange, haven't had any issues with the battery getting warm during charging. To be safe I stopped putting it on the charger overnight and charge it when I wake up in the morning. I charge it for about 40 minutes while I read the news and take it off the charger before I go to shave and shower so that way I'm right by it should something happen.

I've slept with my phone charging overnight since I got the phone and no issues, doesn't overheat.
Even though now im probably not gonna charge overnight until next week, but I dont think anything will happen to my particular phone if I did

I am fast wirelessly charging right now with a 3rd party charger but Sammy brick and cable. at 75% and 88F. the temp was at 92F and has been dropping. Says 49 minutes to full charge.

I agree with a post above. I am no longer charging overnight by the bed. I will charge it in the evening before bed and again at work. Just a precaution, no need to tempt fate too much.

Will be funny when the new note 7 hits the stores and people are still waiting for replacements, almost guaranteed.
