Another software update for S5 on AT&T

Prompted with a software download this morning. Again got my hopes up thinking it was marshmallow. Was another 209 mb security update.

Yeah...that update hit my device yesterday. LMY47X.G900AUCU4CPA2 seems to be the April 2016 Android security patch update only. (see https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...ml%23%21%2Fwireless%2FKB424848&token=IgBjlWCu)

Looks like it was out on 5/3...guess I should count myself lucky that I got it 2 weeks later. :/

Definitely only a security patch for May as the G900AUCU4CPA3 firmware is from January 2016.

Oddly enough...the PA3 update downloaded overnight on my device and installed this morning.

Come on AT&T... where's my Marshmallow?

If it's any comfort to you, I'm on Verizon and we will probably get Marshmallow well after AT&T

S6 got their update this morning. AT&T rep told me both would be released at same time (S5&S6). Obviously I was misinformed, not surprised. Will continue to wait, hey what's another, day, week, month, lol. Starting to get frustrated. I have been a loyal AT&T customer well before they were Cingular. Starting to feel the urge to walk away and consider another carrier.

I'm pulling the trigger to switch to T-Mobile (much cheaper plan) but would like to get my Marshmallow update before I switch. I have heard that even with an unlocked phone, unless there is an AT&T Sim card installed you will be blocked from receiving the update.

Both my kids got Marshmallow on LG and HTC, 2 days ago, AT&T, Racine, WI. I'm Samsung, an hour away and just got 2nd patch in as many weeks, also AT&T..still waiting.
