So I made the switch this evening - I'm cautiously optimistic about the early results. 4G signal is consistent in my house so far, which is more than I can say about the Nexus. I ran about a dozen speed tests and the results are consistently 50-100% better (7-12 mbps download vs. 3-6 on the Nexus). I did a little bit of config and then played YouTube videos (streaming flawlessly) to run the battery all the way down. The external speaker is definitely a lot nicer. I have not made any phone calls yet.
This is my first HTC phone and I actualy like Sense more than I expected. A lot of little touches that add polish. A few that I noticed off the bat:
My only complaint so far is that is that I have pink buttons
. I would have requested another unit, but I snagged the last one in the store (and I had already visited another store that was out of stock). Not too big a deal as I'd like to config them to never light up anyway (anyone know how to access that setting?)

- Ability to store pictures to internal memory - with this and the "no review" settings, the camera is almost as rapid-fire as the Nexus
- Unlock to 4 apps and Folders on desktop (the latter is not as nice looking as on ICS, but functional nonetheless)
- Recently used apps in the notification bar (faster access than long-pressing Home)
