Motorola sometimes surprises, and I know the Razr/MAXX are almost 2 year old devices, but they've held up pretty well..

I just hope Motorola/Google releases a bugfix for the original Moto RAZR/MAXX phones that helps with the lag and battery issues that are experienced by some (including me.. rebooting and/or clearing the app caches gets old when you have to do it daily).. I'm sick of major releases that bring new features but add bugs, and would be happy with minor ones that fix broken stuff. My MAXX should easily go 24 hours or more on its huge battery, with the type I use I put it through- not 18-20. Also, there's the audio bug that requires a reboot every now and then.

Keep your fingers crossed that Googlerola updates all their "recent" phones to something more stable.. It would be nice. I can't get rid of this phone until August 2014!

Amen, Brother!

I'm happy with the latest major update but some of the little bugs are kind of annoying. I blows my mind that updates are done away with before the device is two years old. While there are bigger/better phones out there, I'm perfectly happy with the Maxx for now.

If they'd allow us to unlock the boot loader I'd be happy.

kexec is available now for droid razr. I'm running the latest avatar ROM which uses the 4.3 kernel. There is also a 4.3 version of the Eclipse ROM based on AOSP available as well.

We don't have to have an unlocked bootloader to run the latest kernel.
