Another V20 joins the family

After my daughter laundered her previous device with her bedding, and after a frantic search for a replacement device, bought a device for her from ebay. I was surprised how the price had dropped. The thing is supposed to arrive next week. Hope it's as good as the one I got, and that I agree with the seller's condition description. After selling the remains of her old device, the net laundry charge was $140. Hope the V20 won't be washed in that way.

It arrived today, and we were done with the setup in 4 hours and 4 reboots later, the device is up to date with t-mobile January security patch. Device is in good shape, with a couple of small nicks in the to and bottom plastic sections. 3 days, including a weekend, is an eBay best shipping time. Positive experience with tetchy tech, for sure.
Now to make sure that it stays safe and away from the laundry.

The V20 won't survive a laundry wash, however, it should withstand drops on cement (see Android Authority's drop test). Just buy a cheap waterproof bag on Amazon if you decide to take it to the beach or pool side. The phone lasted 1.5 years for me already, no problems whatsoever. Just clear out the junk on the phone once in a while.

Double check the IMEI to be 100% sure there is no EIP balance remaining. You can do IMEI/ESN check on Swappa.

Well, it's running fine on t-mobile. So nothing blocked.
