How To Root ANY Samsung Galaxy S3 4.1.2 & 4.1.1 - Verizon/AT&T/Sprint/T-mobile/I9300 Version - YouTube Hello, today i accidently hard bricked my phone. (it wont turn on at all). i was trying to just simply root it using this video LINK On top, after that part it said pass but didnt reboot I tried turning it on didnt work and found out i bricked it, i did EXACTLY what that video did. If there are any other ways please reply! Also would it be possible to buy a usb jig and use it to unbrick it and put the stock samsung rom on it? I think its possible for soft bricks but im not sure if its possible with hard bricks so please reply
Thanks! .
(Also i bricked it doing the vralec bootloader part [link leads to that part])

Re: Can you unbrick HARD BRICKED phone with a usb jig?

Have you tried pulling the battery?

Does it still connect to your PC? If yes, the there is hope. Also, does the LES turn on when you plug it into the charger? Maybe the battery is depleted

Re: Anyway To Unbrick? Galaxy S3

Plug in the phone to your PC and press the power button for a couple of seconds and see if it turns on....also, use windows explorer and see if you can get into the SD card. If that's a go, then we can fix your phone

Re: Anyway To Unbrick? Galaxy S3

If the phone is recoverable a JIG will get it to boot into Download mode (or Odin mode if you prefer that name).

I haven't looked at those videos but these are the steps I use to reload the firmware using Kies:
- if you don't already have the Kies software installed on your PC, download it (just search Google) and install it. The first time it runs it'll update itself to the latest version so make sure you run it once before proceeding.
- put your phone in Download mode: with the phone completely off, press and hold the Volume Down and Home and Power buttons simultaneously, and release them all when you see the Samsung splash screen
- connect the phone to your PC with the USB cable that came with the phone
-- if you've never had the phone connected to your Windows-based computer before, you'll see messages about installing drivers, etc - just wait until this is done (may take 5 or 10 minutes) [I don't know what happens if you have a Mac - it probably just works]
- in the Kies software, select the second item in the Tools menu and just follow the prompts to enter the model number (in CAPS) and IMEI/Serial Number (both found under the battery - it's ok to remove the battery at this point)
- the Kies software should start downloading the correct firmware for your phone from the Internet; once that's done (depending on your Internet connection speed) it'll begin downloading that to the phone (this probably takes 10 minutes or so)

If you didn't undo the root Verizon can charge full life in the device they sent for voiding your Warrenty

As per the statement above, I'm curious as to what you told your warranty company was wrong with the phone. If you simply told them it quit working, they will find that it was modified your next bill may be very large. I found this out when I was reluctantly honest when I was about to submit a warranty claim for my bricked rooted phone. The only other choices were to lie and say I either lost the phone or take it out in the driveway and run over it with my truck, or to keep the phone and keep on plugging away. I eventually got my phone working. It took a LOT of work and I had my old phone, so it was worth it to me.
I know it's too late to do anything about it now, and I hope you don't get charged, but I sure do wish you had asked for info on THAT solution!
I post this mainly so that anyone with a bricked phone request info here before entertaining the warranty solution. The warranty company is NOT your friend!
Best wishes:)
