Answered: New user, newbie question on 'to do list' apps

Howdy!

I acquired a Nexus 7 five days ago to replace a Kindle Keyboard as an E-book reader and I'm really enjoying the device.

I apologize for the rookie question -

I'm looking for a simple "to do" list app that will reside locally on the Nexus, so that if I do not have a Wi-Fi connection I can still work with the application. I've set up Google Tasks, but of course that requires a network connection. I've got Microsoft OneNote installed but that is also web based. EverNote seems to be a lot more than I need, and many of the others I've looked at, such as "Astrid" are capable but (it seems to me) intrusive in the amount of personal data that they can access.

Does anyone know of a simple to-do app that resides locally on the tablet when not connected to Wi-Fi?

(I did search the forums, but searching on terms "to do list", "to do app", "to+do+list" didn't give me the answer I'm looking for - if the answer exists!)

Ive been using Wunderlist. simple, and will synce between devices (nexus 7 and nexus 4.)

I use Tasks, it is easy to use and will sync to all google devices or not depending on your preference.

Try "Floating Stickies" free from the play store.

Thanks to everyone who responded (and so quickly!!!).

I checked out the recommendations and found ehall1957's suggestion of "Tasks" seems to work the best for me.

I appreciate everyone's input in trying to help this Newbie along.
