I would like to be able to answer calls simply by opening the phone but can't seem to find where to change the setting.

Only way to use the phone in open position is speaker phone. I have not seen a option to answer when you open it.

I must be missing something here. So they made a phone that you can only use as a speaker phone.......unless it is folded, in which case it is impossible to NOT use speaker phone. There will be a lot of returns, including mine, if that is the case.
I've seen many reviews of people talking on the phone using it like a regular phone.

Either way, the OP said he found the option to allow it to work.

Open phone to answer calls
From the Home screen, swipe up or down to access the Apps screen.
Tap Settings.
Scroll down to Accessibility.
Tap Accessibility.
Tap Interactions and dexterity.
Tap Answering and ending calls.
Tap to toggle on Open phone to answer.
Open phone to answer will be toggled on.

Maybe I'm missing something here. I don't see why anyone would want thold the phone to their head when it's open, I try that and it is crazy, does not feel normal and I would feel like a dufus talking on the phone with it open holding to my head. I'm honestly surprised it's even a option to answer when you open it.

Are we talking about the fold or flip. I'm talking the fold.

Edit..my bad...I went and looked at the title...I see you are asking on the flip, my bad. Sorry about that. . I agree, on the flip I would want that.

When it first comes out of the box, is the default the speakerphone??
