Antivirus on Android or not?

well i stay away from anti virus only if i dont install from outside google play store

Absolutely! I would not trust anything outside of the Playstore myself. It's just I've seen customers who come into my store with a whole bunch of pop ups from a specific cheap "Anti-Virus" app.

As long as no app installation from nowhere neither clicking on unknown sources of links. I think there's totally no need for antivirus. It slows down the device most of the time.

It goes the same for computers and for cellphones-antivirus is necessary! I use AVG and I haven't had any troubles so far so-better safe than sorry!

I agree. I haven't used one on Windows 7 for years and haven't had any issues. Yes I have checked many times with various AV software.

For Android phones I think it's totally unnecessary. Just don't dowload and use programs from dubious sources.

User stupidity is the number one reason why people get malware.

So, you havent even considered email attached virus etc. Wow.
