Any 6P users got the Google Assistant update yet?

I actually got it several days ago by putting USA English at the top of the languages in main settings, then going into the apps settings and deleting the Google app search data. Assistant then showed up and has been working ever since even after changing back to UK English.
However at that time it didn't work on my wife's 6p but took a few days trying for it show up.

Yup. Nothing here. Sim free 6p on EE. Been running O for a few days.

Thanks for the info @sp8y. So within the main Android settings, I have added US English and put it at the top. I then went to Apps -> Google and deleted the search data.
I've only just tried this and it's not showing up yet. But finger's crossed it will appear soon.

Yes it still seems to be hit and miss as it took several days of trying to show up in my wife's 6p.

I repeated the US/cache 'trick'.
Worked after about 10 hours.

Does it "stick" if you revert to UK English or does it go back to Now?

I've left US English in the list but placed UK English back to the top so the phone uses UK all the time and Google assistant has worked since even after reboots and clearing of cache.

Thanks, I followed the instructions and got assistant within 30 minutes, I'll see what happens with UK English.

Okay, new problem, can't get the okay Google function to work, can turn it on it just doesn't seem to hear me when it asks me to say okay Google 3 times?

Yippee! I've now got Assistant. I hadn't realised but it was waiting for me under the hamburger menu within the Google app. I didn't realise I had to check there.

Okay sorted that, thankfully just a reboot needed. Assistant seems to be working okay, much more useful than now
