Any Demos in store yet?

Incredible vs. EVO 4G

Just went to my local BB to see their "demo/brick" model. That sucker is BIG yet when I put it up against their demo iPhone there really wasn't THAT much of a size difference but it FELT like it's 3X larger and 2x heavier (but it's obviously not). I would have really liked it if it was just a tiny bit smaller, maybe 3.9"-4" screen, and maintained the iPhone physical dimensions. It's going to take some getting used to. What's even harder for me is that I sold my iPhone a couple weeks ago and temporarily got a (compared to EVO) relatively "tiny" MyTouch 3G to use in the interim and that thing is REALLY small next to the EVO.

I was told that they have one at the Elk Grove Sprint store, for employee training only, the Store advisor did let me see a to scale drawing of it to compare to my BlackBerry and his Hero.

elk grove lmao that is by me
go to the schaumburg best buy store they have a dummy of the EVO : )

I work at best buy and my manager was like look i have to show u something but u didnt see anything and he pulled a dummy Evo out of the box it was it i was like omg and i got to hold it. It weight is more than I thought it would be( maybe a little more than the pre) but i was just happen to hold it for like 10 seconds lol

Went to my local BB store to get my tax refunded from my presell and asked about the dummy phones. I was told that they are under strict orders to not let anybody even see one until the phone is officially released on the 4th. I inquired if that was true of the dummy phones to be sure and he was adamant. He said they were warned that they could lose their jobs if they did so. Pretty stupid policy if you ask me.

The store here in Union, NJ didn't have it on the Sprint display but the salesguy was showing to anyone who asked.

Damn it. My local Best Buy didn't have any demo units today, but I ended up preordering an EVO. Curse my weak willpower!

One of the people I know in my local sprint store showed me, shes the advocate for the phone at that store. We had to go next door though and get lunch, she stated no customers are supposed to see it yet...

She owed me for tweaking her Pre !

EVO, is that a code for an organ of sorts, and can you sue him for sexual harasment?

I wonder what they would say if I walked in a Sprint store and said "hey you got any accessories for this phone" as I pulled my Evo from my pocket. Mine should be arriving from google I and o tomorrow.

not our rules. this came from sprint. the stores that are showing it risk not only ruining it for themselves, but could cause sprint to get pissed at BBYM in general. i wish people would just do what they are supposed to do at WORK. i agree it is a silly policy, as we would sell more phones. but it is a policy by my employer, so i still follow it. maybe they don't want the additional sales on the preorder. the inventory may not be able to handle more buzz. hopefully:)
