Any details on DAC (3.5mm jack) quality?

I looked at the samsung official spec sheets. It mentions it can do High Resolution audio. But that doesn't tell me if it's DAC is crap or not. They bundle in some pretty good earphones, but if its paired with the same awful DAC the S7 had, its not worth it. Since nothing was announced, I don't expect a "special" DAC, like the V20 has. But as long as its a "decent" to fairly good DAC I'd be satisfied. Any have any information on this? Are we going to have to just wait for reviews to find out?

I'm not holding my breath. I'm certainly going to hold on to my V10. My guess is that they figure most don't care about high quality audio and will still buy the phone regardless.

That's the one thing these phones need! Put that new acquisition to good use. Hopefully they'll have something for the note8.

Exynos DAC is fine note 5 was pretty good. The Snap Dragon DAC is garbage.

The website claims that it can support up to 32-bit audio and has support for Direct Stream Digital files.

But I'm not sure how's the actual DAC on the device until Juan Bagnell puts it through his tools.
