Any disadvantage to wireless charging?

I know, probably not but I plan on buying a one and using it every night to recharge just like the wired one. Any risk of overcharging or battery damage?

I added a $12 Yootech wireless charging receiver to my Note 4, and have used it with a fairly cheap Itian wireless charger for 3 years without a single issue. I still use both because my wife likes to use the s-pen for coloring when she's bored. I'm sure it's probably silly, but I also like avoiding the wear and tear on the usb-c port.

the only thing I would say is that it makes me forget to bring charges with me sometimes when I travel because I'm so used to be dropping the phone down and have a charge without having to plug it in

Yup. I ended up putting one into my everyday bag and one into my travel/flight bag.
