Any Drain on Phone Battery

When I am not wearing my watch, do I need to manually disconnect the watch connection so there is no drain on my phone battery? I am not positive how that really works..

Supposedly any phone with Bluetooth 4.0 should have the low energy mode, so it doesn't drain battery noticeably.

Check your phone spec.
