So I've been for a lookout for a new tablet and I found a Tab S8+ for a very good price. But the only down side is that its a demo set. I don't have any experience with demo set https://vlc.onl/ .

Is there any major difference between a regular set and a demo set? Will it effect my usage in the long run?

Anyone that own a demo set please help me. I'm actually gonna meet this seller today. So any tips on what should I look for in the device and what questions should I ask them.

As far as I know there's nothing difference about them but the problem is it's probably sitting at some store for long periods of time,on charger and constantly charged. How much of a discount are you getting on the potential purchase?

Welcome to Android Central! I think some demo ROMs may also limit the functionality of a device, which the user can't really do anything about because it's baked into the firmware. Or it might constantly revert to a kiosk-style attract mode. Honestly, I would avoid it.

Every demo device I've seen that has been in use for a while has had severe screen burn in. These are devices running all day with their demo software playing on a loop for the majority of that time and is like buying a car that has been run into the ground.

I would also question the legality of the purchase. It's quite common for retailers to only get demo units on loan, which are still property of the manufacturer and must be returned at the end of their service life. It wouldn't surprise me if most demo phones and tablets on the market are technically stolen goods.

I would never buy a used demo device for those two reasons alone, but the above comments are also very good points.
