Just got mine yesterday from Verizon. Any apps that I should look into getting for my Gear S? I was looking through the list of apps but did not see any ratings or reviews. I did download the Watch Styler and I am having issues with creating my own custom watchface for some reason.

Thanks

Thanks for the great suggestions so far. i will check those out. Has anyone tried the Launchers?

watchstyler requires a few hoops to be jumped through to make it work...see this thread.....

Wow did not know watchstyler had an issues thread. When I want to change faces I load a watch default face and when I go back to styler I just load the new one and that works for me.

Try an app on Samsung App store called Look Behind.

It's pretty cool because it allows you to use the front or rear camera of your phone as a closed circuit tv.

Not sure how practical it is, but you can leave your phone in one room and see the activity going on in that room on your Gear S.

Cool, got to try that..

I see you and I have traveled the whole Gear line, 1, 2, and now the S.. I am quite sure you are getting the VR as soon as that surfaces too, I know I am..

Happy Holiday to you and yours,

ceh

Any widget?

Apparently. When you go into the app on the phone you can add a widget, it gives you a list. For example I just added a Gmail widget, it asked for the folder, I selected inbox.

Now if I go to that widget in the wearable widgets I can see a list of emails. However, when I click on it the email is opened on the phone. So how useful a particular widget is depends on how it works.

Thank you much for the holiday wishes. I extend the same to you and your family as well.

I think the Opera Mini is a must for all Gear S owners. I got that, plus Milk and I just added
Bike Computer..
I know a video player is coming soon, just a matter of time... ;)

Does this app work over 3G or must you be connected via bluetooth to use it? Would be kind of interesting to leave my phone at home and set it up somewhere while out on a run or something and be able to check up on the house while out.
