Any further updates on the Bluetooth / app that's causing shutter lag?

I know some people were trying to narrow this down about a month ago, just curious if there were any updates.

From the point that I double tap the home button, the camera app takes about 5 full seconds to load and then the first three or four or five Taps on the shutter button do nothing, and then another five seconds go by and then a photo actually takes. It makes the phone useless as a camera. This is after a replacement phone and after a factory reset.

Must be something specific to the Pixel 3 XL or your particular configuration: on my Pixel 2 XL, with the screen locked, when I double-tap the Power button (to activate the Camera) it's about a second for the Camera application to appear and as quickly as I can find the Shutter button it starts taking pictures - just snapped 8 pictures of the cat in a row, and of course the HDR+ processing took a little extra time to finish but there was no lag in operation.

Similar experience with my Pixel 3. Double pressing the on button get the camera as instantly. Perhaps a second from pressing the shutter button and a photo taken.

Found it! An app that wreaked havoc with the camera even when not in use.

Has it returned in Safe mode? If not then you still have something else on your phone causing the problem.
